He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. A gifted student he started as a Merchant, but he got bored and became a Herbalist. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 13 years.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He seeks to pay back kindness whenever he gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip he always seeks to do solids for his friends.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Eiravel fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Unemployed and was forced into it by his family; and seeks redemption

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
