History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the west. Aramil was born on a far western plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Mayor. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Apothecary arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: This man loves singing and to teach people singing more than just about anything. He receives visions of the future at random moments

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Koeth was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Koeth grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Koeth. He has never given up on his singing dream.

Personality: He acts crazy and hedonistic. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Erdan was born with his mother's beautiful face. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Detective. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and balancing his hectic life and new detective responsibilities is difficult
