History: Raer lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Raer alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Caeldrim's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
