When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Sage. He became a Sage soon after.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. While he appears to be a normal Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage.
