Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Varis was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: The child of a Body Guard, who enjoyed hunting, Arannis was taken on many hunting expeditions. A freak accident while working with his Body Guard mother left him crippled. He bought a halberd and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Guard for the past few years.
