His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He works hard and plays hard.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Arannis was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north.
