He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. History: A child with a great deal of singing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Caeldrim alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has never given up on his singing dream.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Dyer. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. Varis liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
