History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Elf in existence. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Elves in the east were limited. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Elves in the west were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

His father taught him the rudiments of the Map Maker arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Through the years after Aelar was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Aelar's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
