History: Gennal lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He dropped out of school to support his sick father, and resented it. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Soapmaker they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Miner, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Through the years after Adran was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Adran's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
