History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He tends to his Detective job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He feels threatened by others; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
