History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. After months of barely getting by, Arannis managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, goblins burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
