He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and sabotage a competitor

He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

This search led him directly into Architect work with an outfit from a few towns over. History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. While he appears to be a normal Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
