History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Varis was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Varis decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. Recently the stress of being a Sellsword has made it difficult for him to sleep.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Sellsword responsibilities is difficult; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
