Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Through the years after Paelias was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Paelias's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Paelias and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. His addictions have taken their toll on his wallet, and he has found himself with a great deal of debt owed.
