History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Aramil was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Rolen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Rolen grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food.
