History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Soveliss grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Soveliss. He now mingles about in high society.

At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: To protect his home; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
