History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Theren grew up listening to his father's many stories. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

His mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
