Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Aerdeth hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Aerdeth alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was raised in a forest tribe. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.
