History: He was born in the east. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. The war was a terrible time for him, and Naal does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He has never given up on his writing dream.

He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His first spouse was a Navigator, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Berrian fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
