History: He comes from a rich eastern family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Being a Hunter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, giants burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying south to reunite his family. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Rael was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.
