He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He worked as a nervous Courier and found it very stressful. He has worked as a Courier like his mother before him.
