History: Born to a Mortician, his father struggled to pay the bills. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Cartwright for the past few years.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He worked as a nervous Farmer and found it very stressful. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Varis was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the orcs.

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Adventurer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now spends his time doing works of charity.
