When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Doctor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Ahvain was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.
