History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Ahvain and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
