After a long history of fighting, Varis and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Detective they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Brewer, and he later adopted a second daughter.
