The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Theren took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up kukri and armor he uses now. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. While he appears to be a normal Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
