History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. The war was a terrible time for him, and Rael does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When Rael reached his early adolescence his Elf father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He's also a talented Carpenter, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: Nutae hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting dire rats, the young Nutae began to lead the lost caravan. He tends to his Fortune-teller job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: Gifted from a young age, Varis studied abroad. After coming to the age of reason, Varis took it upon himself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
