History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A freak accident while working with his Cartwright father left him crippled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Fivin was born the youngest of three triplets. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Fivin grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Fivin. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
