History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Rael was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

He tends to his Sellsword job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Sellsword responsibilities is difficult.
