To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Berrian. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He now mingles about in high society.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
