History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered east to less war torn lands. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Arannis fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Thervan was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Thervan decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He has never given up on his writing dream.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His childhood dream was to be a Map Maker, but he was a colossal failure. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Marshal responsibilities is difficult.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A freak accident while working with his Sellsword mother left him crippled. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away; and a deep hatred of illithids
