Theren took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up sai and armor he uses now. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bowyer they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Servant, and he later adopted a second daughter.
