History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gifted student he started as a Guard, but he got bored and became a Bowyer. He tends to his Bowyer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
