Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Rael is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Rael alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Paelias was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting brigands, the young Nim began to lead the lost caravan. After a long history of fighting, Nim and his spouse have recently divorced.
