Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Locksmith arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Vanuath has worked very hard to control his curse. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Vanuath was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.
