He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. After a long history of fighting, Beiro and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Laucian was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Laucian was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the goblins.
