History: Koeth was born the youngest of three triplets. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Barkeep they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Map Maker, and he later adopted a second son.

One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Aelar took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up halberd and armor he uses now. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
