Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Paelias is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Born to a Guard, his father struggled to pay the bills. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has worked as a Cartwright like his father before him.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Elven activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and obtaining odd cultural elven artifacts is his passion
