History: Gennal hails from a village terrorized by drow. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it
