Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. Personality: He is fixated on the number 48. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: Born in the east to a Guard, Ahvain learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Guard for the past few years.

Personality: Peren is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Peren liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week.
