Personality: He considers himself the perfect gentleman. He makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Engraver business.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Elves in the west were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Naeris lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His first spouse was a Beggar, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: He was born in the west. Through the years after Varis was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Varis's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
