He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He now owns his own business.

History: Born to a Shoemaker, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Adran grew up listening to his father's many stories. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Cartwright for hire.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and many brigands want him driven away
