History: Erdan was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Courier. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Nim is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Nim was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Nim lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and an old rival family wants him found

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Azaki was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Azaki's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Azaki and his spouse have recently divorced.
