However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the goblins.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, orcs burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying east to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
