History: He comes from a rich eastern family. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Aelar grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Aelar. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Arannis was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth.
