Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Heian is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Galinndan lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Butcher. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Tailor they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Butcher, and he later adopted a second son.

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Animal Trainer arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Vanuath was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
