History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Berrian was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He now owns his own business.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Soveliss alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Soveliss was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and many illithids want him driven away

Personality: He is a Barkeep first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and wants to raise his children well

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Aelar grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.
