History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Elven conditions. After a long history of fighting, Varis and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Elf in existence. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing writing.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Eiravel has worked very hard to control his curse. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
