One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Rolen was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bounty Hunter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

History: He was born in a small island village. He worked as a nervous Farmer and found it very stressful. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Farmer for the past few years.
