History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Carrie grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Carrie. He has achieved small success as a Performer.

His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Varis and his spouse have recently divorced.

To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the west. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Many gnolls want him driven away; and revenge
